We’ll focus on how you feel about your smile, the kind of person you are and how much you would like to spend. We’ll take into account your facial shape, hair colour and skin complexion. We’ll be able to show you how you will look with the best veneers. Making sure that we give you the perfect smile is important to us – that’s why we take the time to listen.
Cosmetic Ceramic Veneers, step by step

Step 1

The first stage in the cosmetic veneer process is ensuring that your gums are in good condition. There is no point in giving you perfect teeth if your gums aren’t healthy. We’ll make sure that your gums are clean and that you are following a good home care routine.

During your first appointment your teeth will be prepared to have the veneers placed on them. This involves removing a tiny amount of the tooth surface the thickness of a fingernail. This creates space for the new porcelain veneer. The colour of the surrounding teeth is matched on a shade guide to make sure that the veneer will look entirely natural. We’ll then take an impression of your teeth and send it to the Dental technicians  who will create your veneers.

After this procedure,  temporary veneers will be placed to protect the enamel surface and reduce chance of sensitivity.  It is extremely important to brush them gently but thoroughly  at this point to prevent plaque build up that could inflame the gum margins.

Step 2

Once the veneers have been made at the ceramic lab  you will attend an appointment to fit them. The appearance and the size of the veneer is checked to make sure it meets your needs. It is very important that you are satisfied with your veneers. Tell us if there is anything you would like to change at this stage, before they are bonded in place.  Remember that major modifications cannot be made once veneers are bonded to your teeth. We will use a detailed bonding system to ensure your new veneers are secured .

Once the veneers are attached they will be durable and provide you with a beautiful, even smile. We will give you advice on how to look after your veneers so that they last as long as possible.
