Frequently Asked Questions about The Park Practice

Find answers to our most frequently asked questions at The Park Practice dental clinic:

Q.Can I register with you if I live outside Glasgow??

A. Yes, it doesn’t matter where you live. We have patients from all over Scotland who come to us for quality dental and complementary therapy treatments.

Q.Can I register with you and receive treatments if I receive Social Security benefits and allowances?

A. Yes, we will take your finances and situation into account when you register with us. If you would like to apply for financial support please bring proof of your benefits and tax credits. We can also help mothers who have given birth during the last 12 months.

Q.Do I need to bring dental records from my previous dentist with me?

A. No, when you register with us we always start afresh. We take a new digital x-ray of your teeth to determine the best treatment plan for you

Q.How do I pay for my treatments?

A. Your first check-up is always free. If you need to have treatment immediately then we will discuss payment options with you. Prior to any course of treatments we will discuss costs and options with you. If you need a course of treatments we will ask you to pay a proportion of the costs during the course. You will then be asked to pay the remainder when you complete the treatments. If for any reason you cannot pay you need to tell us as soon as possible. We will not be able to finish your course of treatments if you fail to keep up with payments

Q.Can I set up a payment plan to pay for treatments?

A. Yes, we work closely with the highly reputable finance 4 patients to offer patients affordable dental treatment payment plans. Contact us for more details.

Q.What happens if I can't make an appointment?

A. At The Park Practice we call patients in advance to remind them of appointments so please make sure that you have given us your current home or mobile phone number. As long as you let us know that you can’t make it at least 24 hours in advance, there will be no charge for missing an appointment

Q.Why do you charge for missed appointments?

A. The Park Practice is a busy dental clinic. We always endeavour to make appointments which fit in with your schedule or working arrangements. If you make an appointment and fail to keep it there may be other patients who miss out. We also have to cover our staff and running costs. We will always discuss the charges with you before billing you
